Privacy Policy
Effective date: 1/9/06
Pan Tours Hawaii, Inc. (Pan Tours) is committed to honoring the
privacy of the users of PanTours.net. This privacy policy, which
is a part of the overall Terms and Conditions of Use
for this site, covers personally identifiable information of you and
your customers that may be shared or communicated through this Site.
We reserve the right to change or amend this privacy policy at any
time. We will post any amendments to this policy on this Site and
their effective date. Any changes will apply to all information
collected by us, including previously collected
information. We recommend you review this privacy policy
each time you visit this Site to confirm your understanding of how we
treat personally identifiable information. Webmaster contact: signup@panda-group.com
I. Your Personally-Identifiable Information.
Information we collect:
When you register for PanTours.net we will ask for personally
identifiable information, including your name, address, phone numbers,
email, ARC number, Hawaii travel agency license number and other
information that helps us identify you, your agents and your business.
How we use it:
We use this information to verify eligibility for wholesale services as
well as to conduct normal business-to-business sales and operations
with your agency. At your request, we will use your email for
notices regarding our rate sheets and services. This information is
shared with two of our affiliates which provide related services: (i)
Get2Hawaii, Inc., which processes our transactions in our booking
engine, and (ii) Panda Associate Travel LLC dba Online Travel
Services, which provides customer and agent support.
How you can change your information:
We try to keep our travel partner's information up to date. You can
subscribe or unsubscribe to our email notification service at any time.
Agents who are administrators for their agency accounts may also
request addition or removal of sub-agents and their information from
our list. Please notify us of any changes at signup@pantours.net.
Your credit card information:
In our booking engine, you may use your agency credit card. That
information is encrypted and secure and is neither available to our
vendors nor our employees who may service your transaction.
Information collected for offline wholesale ticketing processes:
To facilitate offline ticket purchases and by prior arrangement with
you, we may request your bank account number for an ACH bank transfer
of funds. Your bank account number is kept in a secure file with very
limited access, and transactions are handled with a form similar to a
check that does not show your account number. If you purchase with a
credit card, hard copies with the card number, such as faxes, are
destroyed after the card has been processed. We do not share this information
with 3rd parties, and it does not become part of the trip record.
II. Your Customer's Personally Identifiable Information.
Customer information that we collect:
When you create itineraries, reservations, and bookings on our booking
engine, as authorized by your customer and on your customer's behalf,
you must provide your customer's personally-identifiable information
such as name, billing address, email address, telephone numbers, and
you may provide a credit card number and expiration date, plus billing
information, mileage plans, and other information. You must also
provide us the names and information of companions who will be
traveling on the reservations/bookings that you create.
How we use your customer's information:
Customer information is used by us, third parties who provide services
to us, and our vendors to process and confirm reservations, issue
boarding passes and tickets, bill for and provide other requested
services, and notify of any changes and cancellations. This
personally-identifiable information becomes part of a trip record that
we retain. We do not share this information with third parties
other than Get2Hawaii, Online Travel Services and applicable travel
vendors. Your customer will receive an email confirmation of the travel
arrangement, and occasionally we may need to contact your customer
directly. Credit card information is not part of the trip record, and
is securely encrypted and not available to vendors, or our employees
who may service the transaction.
III. Other Matters.
Non-personal information:
Like many other Internet sites, we automatically collect non-personal
information regarding our visitors, such as IP addresses, browser
version, operating system, and we aggregate this information in order
to analyze Web traffic and usage trends. Information of this nature is
not associated with your personal information and we may share such
anonymous, aggregated information about all of our customers and users
with third parties.
Cookies:
To enhance your experience on our site, we or a third-party advertiser
acting on our behalf, may place a "cookie" or "pixel tag" on your
personal computer when you come to the site. "Cookies" are small pieces
of information that are transferred by a website and stored by your Web
browser on your computer's hard drive. Most Web browsers automatically
accept cookies, but if you prefer, you can edit your browser options to
block them in the future. If you decide not to accept our cookies, your
ability to use some features on our booking engine may be impaired.
Security for our booking engine:
Information security is critical to our business. We work to protect
the security of your information during transmission by using Secure
Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input. We
require that any personally identifiable consumer information sent to
us by you be encrypted using industry-standard 128-bit SSL encryption.
We use secure servers to protect your personal information and store
information gathered on secure computers located in a locked data
center. The number of employees involved in the management of the data
center that have physical access to these computers is limited. We use
firewalls and other security technology to prevent our computers from
being accessed by unauthorized persons.
Permitted Disclosures to Government and Collection Purposes:
Notwithstanding anything above to the contrary, we may disclose any
personally-identifiable information we collect (whether online or
through offline sources) with or without notice to the affected
individuals, if required to do so by law or court order, or if
requested by a governmental or law enforcement authority in any
country, or if such information is sought pursuant to a subpoena or
other legal process. We may also disclose any
personally-identifiable information that we collect to perform charge
verifications, to report or collect debts owed, or to protect the
rights, security or property of Pan Tours, its affiliates, our
customers, or others. In the event that we or substantially all of our
assets are acquired by another company, the information that we collect
from our customers and website visitors would be included among the
transferred assets.
